BACTOLiVE® AGRO 

BACTOLiVE® AGRO accelerates the degradation of straw after harvest, and of other agricultural wastes like stubbles. This is important when the time between harvest of cereals and planting of next crop is very short.

BACTOLiVE® AGRO is a water-soluble powder. It contains a high concentration of straw and stubble degrading and nutrient recycling bacteria (Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus pumilis, Bacillus lichenformis), as well as free living rhizosphere azo-bacteria that fix nitrogen, pseudomonads that liberate phosphate and other nutrients, and beneficial soil fungi (Trichoderma harzianum), which support the degradation of straw and stubbles, and which improve soil health. Humic acids and fulvic acids are the support of these microorganisms and give them a start for growing after application.

BACTOLiVE® AGRO is dissolved in water and sprayed after harvest of crops with normal spraying equipment using 75-200 L water per ha. Addition of an adjuvant, e.g. a trisiloxane based product at 50 ml/ha improves the wetting of the plant residues.

The dose rate of BACTOLiVE® AGRO is between 250 and 500 g/ha depending on the amount of straw in the field. It is favourable for the degradation process when the straw and plant residues are shredded before spraying, and when the plant residues are shallow incorporated after spraying of BACTOLiVE® AGRO.

BACTOLiVE® AGRO application can also be combined with glyphosate sprays in minimum tillage cropping systems.
