RHIZO-VAM BASIC

The carrier for infective units of the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus Rhizoglomus intraradices is broken expanded porous clay (photo above and below, left). Spores of the fungus (photo below, right) are formed in pores of the expanded clay where they can survive more than 7 years.  The carrier is 2-4 mm in size, not water soluble, 300-450 g/L weight, flowable, easy to measure.

At transplanting of strawberries to the field, 5-10 ml RHIZO-VAM BASIC are applied in the planting hole. Strawberries inoculated (left) grow much better and have bigger root volume than non-inoculated plants (right). Earlier and higher yields are the results.

Left row was not inoculated; right row was inoculated with RHIZO-VAM BASIC. Higher yields and bigger tubers as results.

Onion bulbs grown in soilless mixture (peat/vermiculite/perlite) and treated (left picture, left; right picture, right) or not (the other) treated with RHIZO-VAM BASIC inoculum (after 3 weeks of inoculation). the soilless mixture was mixed with 5% (v/v) of RHIZO-VAM BASIC granules. Similar increase in root and plant growth was obtained with cucumber and tomato.
